Here is the monthly summary of the Pinball Statistics Power Rankings for the top 100 players according to the Pinball Statistics Power Rankings in November 2022.

Biggest Movers

Emil ED Dreiborg (Rank: 60 PPI: 4.22)

Emil rocked EPC’s main tournament with a 6th place finish, but paired it with a 120th place finish in Classics. This past month, he took no prisoners with a win at LPA Månadstävling, and then followed it up with a massive win at the 2022 Dutch Pinball Open.

Drew Cedolia (Rank: 81 PPI: 2.59)

Drew’s pinball season has been sporadic in 2022. In May, he traveled to Fort Myers for the IFPA World Pinball Championship where he cleaned up during pre-tournaments and fought his way deep into the IFPA WC finals. After hibernating in North Carolina for a few months, Drew traveled up to District 82 for The Pinball Super Series, where he could not find much footing for most of the weekend. In November, Drew decided to attempt to qualify for the Stern Pro Circuit in just 2 events, and he came quite close finishing 2nd at the OBX Flippers Fall Pinball Bash and 8th in the extremely competitive Free Play Florida tournament. Drew’s PPI variance has been the 2nd highest of all players who have maintained an IFPA ranking at or below 250 since June.

Johnny Modica (Rank: 69 PPI: 3.44)

Johnny, the 18-year competitive pinball veteran, made the trip from warm Southern California to warm Central Florida where he finished 10th/148 and 12th/118 in the Main and Classics tournaments respectively. Unfortunately, this was not enough to qualify him for the Stern Pro Circuit and he finishes 41th in the overall standings for 2020-2022 qualifying.

Jason Zahler (Rank: 3 PPI: 25.91)

Highlighting Jason here allows me the chance to recap the finals of Free Play Florida 2022. With just 1 event remaining on the IFPA calendar, the Stern Pro Circuit announced that the finals would expand from 20 qualifiers to 32. This seems to have motivated many players to travel to Florida because FPF 2022’s main tournament wound up being one of the most lucrative non-major tournaments of all time. The final 4 consisted of Escher Lefkoff (PPI Rank: 1), Raymond Davidson (PPI Rank: 2), Jason Zahler (PPI Rank: 3), and Eric Stone (PPI Rank: 4).
