07/11/2022 PSPR - Alternate Timeline

This week’s Pinball Statistics Power Rankings are affected by a timeline shift. Back in February 2022, nobody ever submitted the results of The Open - IFPA World Pinball Championship to matchplay.events. Players continued to play in many more tournaments since that point, and had their matchplay.events ratings calculated as if The Open had never taken place. Now, every event that happened after early February is recalculated factoring in the ratings adjustments that happened from The Open. This means that any player who plays in the open, or any player who plays a player who played in The Open at any point since The Open, has had their rating change.

With all that out of the way, let’s take a look at this week’s numbers!

Big Moves Down Under

Jason Lambert of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and David Peck of Auckland, New Zealand are some of this week’s biggest movers in the PSPR. I had assumed this was due to the BPAC tournament series getting started, but it looks like they are just winning moderate-sized tournaments in their local areas.

BPAC2022 is looking at the puny farm events in places like District 82 and Bulls&Balls and laughing at how everybody goes home after the weekend ends. The pinball party rages on for another full week in Brisbane!

Pinball Statistics Power Rankings #1 Escher Lefkoff had some unfortunate luck in his travel plans. I hope he makes it down to Brisbane safely and soon for what looks like a jam-packed week and a half of competitive pinball.

Off-Season All-Star

Congratulations to Lonnie Langford, our biggest mover in this week’s rankings for winning The Double ICE Double-Header. LON is well-known in the Seattle area for having the high score on every single pinball machine in the city. I haven’t crossed paths with him many times due to his busy work schedule, but it’s always great to get the chance to compete against him.
